USA: Gasoline inventories rise to highest level since June 2020

U.S. gasoline inventories rose last week, reaching their highest level in more than five years, according to government data.

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Weekly Petroleum Status Report that gasoline stocks increased by 685,000 barrels to 257.9 million barrels for the week ended January 30. This marks the highest level since June 2020.

The report also showed that distillate inventories recorded their largest weekly decline since February 2021, although no specific figures for the drop were provided.

In addition, weekly U.S. field crude oil production fell to its lowest level since November 2024, EIA data revealed.
