Russia increased its oil production in November, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, according to Russian news agencies.
Although Novak did not provide specific figures, data published by OPEC showed that Russian oil output rose to 9.367 million barrels per day in November, an increase of 10,000 barrels per day from October levels.
The production increase follows a decision by the OPEC+ group of oil-producing countries to implement a moderate rise in production quotas.
Novak also said that Russian companies are increasing investment to meet the higher production quotas set by OPEC+.
