Trump expects oil prices to fall after Iran operation
U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects oil prices to decline as soon as his administration’s military operations in Iran come to an end
U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects oil prices to decline as soon as his administration’s military operations in Iran come to an end.
Trump made the remarks in the Oval Office before meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Merz arrived at the White House, becoming the first foreign leader to meet with Donald Trump since the start of the war in Iran. The meeting, which had long been scheduled, was initially expected to focus on tariffs and the war in Ukraine.
The talks were already seen as challenging due to tensions between European leaders and the U.S. president. However, they have become even more complicated following the U.S. and Israeli offensive against Iran.
