All production from any new future developments in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale basin will be directed to exports, the CEO of state-controlled oil company YPF said at the Gastech conference in Milan.
The Latin American country aims to export 500,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of hydrocarbons by the end of 2027, YPF CEO Horacio Marín said.
“I am sure LNG in Argentina will be a reality next year,” Marín added.
The executive said the company is targeting Asia and Europe as markets for LNG exports.
