Argentina’s energy trade balance could post a surplus of $11 billion in 2026, according to estimates by state-controlled oil company YPF.

If oil prices remain between $80 and $90 per barrel, the trade balance would reach that level, YPF Chief Executive Officer Horacio Marín said during the 12th edition of the Latam Economic Forum in Buenos Aires.

“The goal is for Argentina to export more than $30 billion starting in 2031,” Marín said.
