Pampa Energía announced that it has requested inclusion in an incentive regime to build an oil and gas treatment plant at its Rincón de Aranda field, with an investment of $426 million.
The company stated that it applied to join the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) to move forward with a new key infrastructure project for the development of Rincón de Aranda, its shale oil field located in the southern province of Neuquén.
The company expects that, once the project becomes operational in 2026, Pampa will begin exporting crude oil valued at approximately $1.2 billion starting in 2027.
"The construction of this plant and its associated infrastructure is key to strengthening our operation in Vaca Muerta. It will allow us to capture production from the entire field, which spans 240 km², and connect to the main transportation systems," said Gustavo Mariani, CEO of Pampa.
The project involves the design, construction, and operation of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) that will process, store, and transport oil and natural gas.
The initiative is part of the comprehensive investment plan that Pampa Energía is implementing in Rincón de Aranda, where it is investing $1.5 billion to increase its oil production tenfold, the company said in a statement.
