The production of gas in the unconventional hydrocarbon formation Vaca Muerta reached a record high of 57.3 million cubic meters per day in May, according to the Ministry of Economy.

"This represents an increase of 11.1% compared to the previous month, as well as a positive variation of approximately 10.7% compared to the same month in 2022," the government stated in a press release.

Regarding unconventional oil production in the Patagonian formation, the Ministry of Economy stated that in May, the volume reached 295,900 barrels per day, marking a growth of 26.2% compared to the same month in 2022.
