In total, 100,000 cubic meters of natural gas entered Brazil via pipelines passing through Bolivia, to test the “commercial and operational framework” of the agreement
Petrobras carried out the first importation of unconventional natural gas from the Vaca Muerta oil field, according to the Brazilian state company.
The operation took place last Friday in collaboration with Pluspetrol, under the framework of the agreement signed among the companies and their subsidiaries, Petrobras Operaciones and Gas Bridge Comercializadora.
In total, 100,000 cubic meters of natural gas entered Brazil via pipelines that passed through Bolivia, to test the “commercial and operational framework” of the agreement, according to a statement released by the Brazilian company.
According to the contract, Petrobras may import up to 2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day continuously.
Other import operations will take place as the companies identify commercial opportunities, the Petrobras statement noted.
